Boîte “Estia” – Kostas Zembilas, Filippos Rezios, Kostas Gedikis

“For me, the “boîte” defines an era that had small chairs and a crowded room. A headlight from a car on the stage, no embellishments, the naked truth. The boîtes were the naked truth of our music”.
With these words, the one and only Marisa Koch defined the boîtes.

These musical spaces, as small as a “box” (boîtes de nuit), with a piano, a guitar and a voice on a tiny stage, placed at arm’s length from the audience, managed to contain the greatness of good Greek music.
Such a place , Estia Pelion, small but very human, recreates the atmosphere of the boîtes and invites the artist to become one with the audience.
Tonight, the boîte is reborn, a journey through time, guided by Kostas Zembilas, Filippos Rezios and Kostas Gedikis.
