“Theodorakis, Hadjidakis, Xarchakos : Three great composers meet at Estia ” , on Saturday 12 October at 21:00.
Melodies by great composers are the cornerstone of our collective memory and self-awareness.The music of Theodorakis , Hadjidakis and Xarchakos becomes the meeting point of western music and the sounds of the East.

Konstantinos Zebilas was born and raised in Volos. His relationship with music dates back to the year 2000, the year in which he started attending lessons for two consecutive years at the Volos Municipal Conservatory. At the end of his lessons he started his musical career at “Methexi”, one of the most historical music scenes of Volos, where he stayed for 5 consecutive years.Then, wanting to revive the atmosphere of the bouats, he created a musical group with excellent artists of the city and performs until today in all the music scenes of Volos. During his career he has collaborated with great musical groups such as the Estudiantina of N.Ionia, the Ionia Orchestra, Rhythmos, Emmetron, Philharmonic of the Municipality of Volos etc.He also collaborated with well-known artists such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, Glykeria, Yannis Kotsiras, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Eleni Vitali, Elli Paspala, Dimitris Basis, Violeta Ikari, Melina Kana, Babis Tsertos.With his love of music as his only guide, Konstantinos Zebilas continues his creative journey until today.
Philip Retsios was born in Volos in 1973 and is a musician and founding member of Estudiantina of Nea Ionia since its foundation in 1999. He has collaborated in recordings and live performances with some of the greatest Greek singers such as Giorgos Dallaras, Maria Farantouri, Alkistis Protopsaltis, Glykeria, Manolis Mitsias, Pantelis Thalassinos, Petros Gaitanos, Eleni Vitali, Agathon, Mario, Babis Tsertos, Panagiotis Lalezas, Christos Tsiamoulis, Chronis Aedonidis, etc. ά., but also the younger generation of performers such as Areti Ketime, Dimitris Basis, Gerasimos Andreatos, Sofia Papazoglou, Giota Nega, Eleonora Zouganeli, Andrianna Babalis, Giannis Kotsiras, Kostas Makedonas, Giannis Haroulis, Orpheus Peridis, Manos Pυροvolakis, Aspasia Stratigiou, and others.
Kostas Gedikis was born and raised in Thessaloniki. His studies in music began in 1992, with the bouzouki as a reference point. He studied at the Music School of Thessaloniki where he graduated in 2002. He studied and graduated from the ” Folk and Traditional Music ” department of the school of “Music Technology” of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus. In June 2019, he completed the 3rd cycle of postgraduate studies in performance and performance at the Department of Music Studies of the University of Macedonia on the subject of “Improvisation in bouzouki”. Since 2010, he has been teaching at the secondary school level as a substitute teacher in the courses of ΄΄instrument of choice – bouzouki΄΄ and ΄΄music ensembles΄΄ at the Music Schools of Heraklion (2010-2011), Siatista (2011-2012), Veria (2012-2013), Karditsa (2013-2014), Amfissa (2014-2015), Volos (2015-2017, 2018-2021) and Lamia (2017-2018). He has been working professionally as a musician since 2003. He has collaborated in concerts with most of the great Greek performers and composers. He has performed with all the major orchestras of Greece, as well as with the Smyrna orchestras. Alikarnassos Symphony Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of the Azerbaijan Music Academy. A milestone in his career was his collaboration with composer and soloist Thanasis Polykandriotis and the bouzouki ensemble “Next”. Since 2013, he has collaborated with the composer Andreas Katsigiannis and the “Estudiantina” of Nea Ionia Volos and since 2014 with Giorgos Dalaras, with whom he collaborates in recordings and concerts in Europe, Asia and America.
