Zigrid Petrogiannis retrospective painting exhibition

The composition and the sense of colour are the special characteristics of Sigrid Petrogiannis‘ painting.
The artist was born in 1947 in Cuxhaven, Northern Germany.
Her talent became apparent at an early age. In secondary school she had the painter Paul Riedel as her teacher.
Her early marriage and the care of her children interrupted her systematic study of the art she loved.
She did not continue her studies at higher institutions, but with her passion active throughout the years, she learned and worked successfully, mainly in watercolour.
Her works were exhibited in Germany for the first time in 1994 with great success. Since then she has exhibited in many German cities and in recent years she has also worked in acrylic.
Since 1998 she divides her time between Portaria and her home town of Bremen.
